Nominating Committee
News - You'll Be Hearing From Us!
Throughout March 2010, members of the Nominating Committee will be reaching out to our
members, via phone calls, to fill Board and committee positions. Please consider
taking a role in the future of BCRC. Contact Jody Rosas for questions at (703) 771-3393.
Join a BCRC Committee
in 2010!
Our busy Temple is always looking for creative people to become involved in a
committee. Too busy? Try one out and see how it feels, no commitments
required. You could consider the Ways & Means Committee (fundraising) or
the House Affairs Committee, Social, Membership, Worship (ritual) or Caring
Committee (helping hands), the Religious School Committee or help with Budget &
Finance (Treasurer) or Youth Group. Please contact the committee VP/chairs
for more info.
Benefit the People of Haiti
Fri, Mar 12 - Thu, Mar 25, 2010
BCRC will have a container in the lobby to collect items to benefit the people of
Haiti. Please bring used shoes and clothing for adults, teens, and
children. Nations Children will pick up for shipping the last week in March.
Volunteers Needed to Teach Religious
School in 2010-11 - Earn Tuition/Dues Credit and Make a Difference
We are looking for dedicated parents to join the team of teachers at the BCRC
Religious School. Teaching opportunities exist in elementary and middle school grades
(Hebrew and/or Judaics). Lesson plans will be provided and our teachers will
offer guidance and support (prior teaching experience is not necessary). Teaching is
a mitzvah, is personally rewarding, and a means to connect with Judaism in a
whole new way, while at the same time giving back to our community. Please
contact Sharon Chiat with any questions and to
discuss benefits (teachers may receive credit toward tuition or dues).
